Welcome to Calgary Sod Supply. By accessing our website, placing an order, scheduling delivery, arranging pickup, or purchasing products from Calgary Sod Supply, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Orders & Acceptance
All orders placed through Calgary Sod Supply are subject to product availability, delivery availability, and acceptance by Calgary Sod Supply.
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, delay, or modify any order due to inventory shortages, supplier delays, weather conditions, pricing errors, delivery limitations, unsafe site conditions, or circumstances beyond our control.
Sod Orders
Sod is a living, perishable product harvested specifically for customer orders.
- Sod quality must be inspected immediately upon delivery or pickup.
- Sod should be installed as soon as possible after delivery or pickup.
- Sod left rolled, stacked, covered, unwatered, or uninstalled may deteriorate rapidly.
- Natural variations in colour, texture, thickness, moisture, and appearance may occur and are not considered defects.
- Once sod is installed, it is considered accepted by the customer.
Calgary Sod Supply is not responsible for sod quality issues resulting from delayed installation, improper storage, insufficient watering, overwatering, weather conditions, poor soil preparation, site conditions, pet damage, traffic damage, chemical damage, or improper maintenance after delivery or pickup.
Sod Pickup Orders
Customers selecting pickup agree that sod must be picked up on the requested pickup date.
Sod is harvested specifically for customer orders. Failure to pick up sod on the requested date may result in product loss, heat damage, drying, yellowing, or deterioration.
No refunds, credits, replacements, or compensation will be issued for missed pickup appointments, late pickups, abandoned orders, or no-shows.
Delivery Terms
Delivery dates and times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Weather, traffic, equipment issues, supplier delays, farm delays, road restrictions, delivery volume, or other circumstances may affect delivery schedules.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information, safe access, adequate space, and clear placement instructions where applicable.
Drivers reserve the right to determine final placement based on site access, safety, ground conditions, overhead obstructions, vehicle limitations, and risk of property damage.
Delivery Completion, Risk of Loss & Theft
All products are deemed delivered and accepted once placed at the delivery location specified by the customer or at a reasonable location determined by the driver.
Ownership, responsibility, and risk of loss transfer to the customer immediately upon delivery.
Calgary Sod Supply is not responsible for theft, vandalism, damage, contamination, deterioration, weather-related loss, unauthorized removal, or movement of materials after delivery has been completed.
Customers are responsible for ensuring products are secured, protected, watered where applicable, and installed or used promptly following delivery.
Photos, GPS records, delivery notes, driver records, order records, or other delivery documentation may be used to confirm successful delivery.
If a customer is not present at the time of delivery, Calgary Sod Supply may complete delivery according to the instructions provided at the time of ordering. Such delivery shall be deemed accepted upon placement of the materials.
No refunds, credits, replacements, or compensation will be provided for materials that are lost, stolen, damaged, moved, contaminated, weather affected, or otherwise affected after delivery has been completed.
Product Placement
Requested placement locations are not guaranteed.
Calgary Sod Supply will make reasonable efforts to place products where requested; however, final placement is at the driver’s discretion based on safety, accessibility, site conditions, equipment limitations, and the risk of damage.
Calgary Sod Supply is not responsible for damage resulting from customer-requested placement locations, including driveway marks, lawn damage, sprinkler damage, underground utilities, soft ground, curbs, sidewalks, or other property conditions.
Bulk Materials
Bulk materials including soil, lawn soil, compost, mulch, sand, gravel, aggregates, and bulk bags are natural products.
Variations in colour, texture, moisture content, screening, compaction, particle size, and appearance may occur and do not constitute defects.
Quantities are measured at loading and may settle during transport or after placement.
Returns & Refunds
Due to the nature of sod and landscape materials, all sales are final once products are harvested, loaded, delivered, picked up, or placed.
- All sod sales are final.
- All bulk material sales are final.
- All bulk bag sales are final once delivered.
- All custom or scheduled orders are final once processed.
If a concern exists regarding product quality, the customer must notify Calgary Sod Supply immediately upon receipt and before installation, use, spreading, or placement.
